Kundalini Yoga is a practice that works on the different levels of being through a series of postures (called "kriyas") using breath, rhythm, dynamic or static postures, sound (in the form of mantras), relaxation and meditation.
Kundalini Yoga also teaches us to improve our powers of concentration and our intuition, to access this space of deep serenity which is also called “sacred space”.
In the silence of the mind we can hear the voice of the soul (our inner strength). Always present in every moment of our lives, it inhabits our bodies, sends us messages and seeks our attention.
By working on concentration, we learn to direct our attention inward and develop self-awareness. This is why we place great emphasis on working with concentration during our classes.
Pranayamas and mantras are excellent tools for calming the mind and developing our powers of concentration. Physical exercises are followed by a period of observation during which we learn to be a neutral spectator of our sensations. This helps eliminate physical, emotional, and mental blockages.
So you gradually become master of your life and turn the anchor inward. Realistic, you see the world as it is without illusions. It becomes difficult to manipulate you with feelings of fear, shame, and guilt. You step out of mental games; they no longer interest you. You become aware of your true motivations and you begin to clearly see your life path.
This is what regular practice of Kundalini Yoga offers you.
